About

hi there, I'm TK the artist

It’s crazy how finding yourself as an adult means returning to the things that brought you the most joy as a kid. Growing up in a society that already has predetermined roles for you can be challenging when you’ve found the beauty of connecting to your truest self.

A lot of creatives can relate to the feelings of insecurities, doubt, and fear that come with publicly identifying with your art. You’re told in many forms that your art is neither a priority nor important.  A craving to be satisfied once in a while when you’ve got through all the work you’re supposed to spend your life doing.

Tk the Artist was created to be everything I wanted to be. A fierce performer and an incredible songwriter. Charismatic and extremely skillful in controlling a crowd with melodies soaked in emotion. He is unapologetic about his music. He wears his art loud and proud on his chest and inspires people to have the courage to dream again. Most times I fall short of this person. But sometimes, when the stars align and the music feels right and I am under the stage lights, I remember who I am.

meet Alvin,

Hailing from Kenya, his music is heavily influenced by traditional east/south African grooves and rhythms. These two musicians have built a rapport that is palpable during their live performances. Based in Victoria BC, you can find them playing their hearts out on a stage near you.

Vision

We are entertainers studying the sweet science of audio and visual arts. We are students of how sound and visuals instigate certain feelings in the human body. We aim to explore sounds/colors and the feelings they create in order to connect to the human spirit.

Through the Collaboration of highly skilled and very passionate professionals across all facets of this vision, we aim to continuously and sustainably create musical experiences via recorded originals, instrumentals, song covers, and most especially, live performances; documenting our entire journey along the way for the world to see.

We are also entrepreneurs looking to build a platform for our art to serve us for a very long time. We believe the content we create will not only open doors for us but for people invested in us and partners we don’t even know about yet.

If you resonate with anything you’ve read so far, and you have an Idea of how you can contribute to this vision with your art, skill, expertise, or money, feel free to reach out to tktheartistmusic@gmail.com.

We are currently working on releasing our first official body of work, an EP titled ‘A Journey Under the Stars. (Scheduled to be released in the summer of 2023). A project that promises to take you on a ride through the intricacies of neo-soul and RnB melodies, whilst getting your body moving to jazz and afro beat-inspired rhythms.

We aim to amplify the studio experience on stage, utilizing our expertise as live performances and setlist curators.

Projects like this require financial support, time, and effort. We need to pay for a Jam space, studio sessions, transportation, equipment, accommodation, and many others.

If you feel encouraged by what you’ve read or seen, please feel free to send your donations via the Paypal link down below. For more support, you can reach out to the team at tktheartistmusic@gmail.com
